A lean athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Offensively- the left handed hitter was impressive in the 2020 games. Stands in the box in a tall stance with loose hands. Simple load actions. Quick direct path to the baseball. Short compact swing with a lot more in the tank. Hard consistent contact to the pull side. Defensively- as a catcher, fast twitch actions. Footwork is active and gets rid of the ball quickly from a high ¾ arm slot.
2/21/19
A lean 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Ran a 4.13 home to first. Offensively- the left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Short simple load before attacking the baseball. Direct path to the hitting zone. Flat bat path through the hitting zone. Balanced throughout the swing. Good use of the lower half. Top exit velocity was 82 MPH. Defensively- as an infielder, aggressive to the baseball. Stays under control when fielding the baseball. Quick release on throws across the diamond from a ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 79 MPH. As a catcher, sets up in a low base and presents a big target for the pitcher. Athletic actions behind the plate. Quick release on throws to 2B. The top throwing velocity on throws to 2B was 73 MPH. Pop time ranged from 2.06-2.20
9/15/18
Lean frame at 5-foot-11, 150-pounds. Ran a 7.13 60 Yard Dash. Offensively - Wide, balanced set-up in the box with slight knee bend. Low leg life to get into forward stride. Low effort, compact swing. Level barrel path with lift to his pull-side. Hands are quick and stay inside of the ball. Exit Velocity was 80 MPH. Defensively - Consistent fielding actions. Receives ball in the center of his body with a low, athletic base. Light on his feet when moving laterally. Loose arm action from a low 3/4 slot. Uses side shuffle to get momentum behind longer throws. Arm strength was 77 MPH.
7/15/18
Medium sized, lean frame. Good actions behind the plate. Hits from the left side. Swing is smooth and level as it gets thru the zone. Showed the ability to stay inside the ball ad generate consistent hard contact. Advanced approach for a young hitter.
6/25/18
5-foot-11, 150-pounds with a lean frame, ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Lower half gets around the ball, mechanically sound, fast release from a 3/4 slot, arm-strength continues to improve at 78 mph. Overall body strength would benefit him. At the plate, barrel dips at times, path is short, 80 mph exit velo, Still young and growing into his frame but improving every time we see him.

Snyder, a 2020 left-handed hitting middle infielder/RHP, stands at 5-foot-8 and weighs 120 pounds, ran a 8.11 60. Offensively- Starts with a square balanced lower half with the lead toe turned inward while the hands are held off the back shoulder and barrel of the bat slightly more than 45 degrees from the ground. Initiates the swing with a load of the hands even further off the back shoulder with the lead leg coming up with the knee moving straight back towards the back knee and foot string straight towards the pitcher. Chokes up on the bat, keeping the barrel fairly tight to and thru the hitting zone during batting practice, peppering the ball from the pull side line to the middle of the field.Recorded an exit velocity of 72 MPH, which will improve as more strength and size are added to the 120 pound frame. Defensively- Starts from an athletic pre-pitch setup with the feet more narrow enabling a prep step and glove in front of the body. Approaches the ball aggressive but under control, fielding the ball from the center of the body but at times lets the ball get a bit deep. Transfer is made above the chest with a pulling like motion getting the shoulders pinched with a more horizontal throwing action. Recorded an arm velocity of 72 MPH. Pitching- Starts from the first base side of the rubber with the hands held just below the chest. Gets to the gathered position with a turn of the pivot foot, keeping the hands out in front of the body while the lead knee is elevated chest height and back drive leg firm. Clean separation with long arm action, sticking the landing with the lead toe pointed towards the catcher keeping the lead elbow inside the body at the left hip. The fastball, thrown from a high ¾ arm slot, topped out at 69 MPH with some arm side run, however had difficulty commanding the pitch to both sides of the plate. The curveball, showed 10-to-4 shape with some tight rotation at times. The changeup showed good differential from the fastball at 59 MPH, but needs more depth. Needs to work on staying on the top of the pitches for better command, lets the chest and shoulders drift forward ahead the external rotation of the hips.
