Solano is a 6-foot-1 160-pound right-handed pitcher and first baseman with an athletic build. He ran a 7.29 60. Offensively- Stands further than shoulder width apart. Knees bent, front leg is picked up and put down for timing.  Hands lead into a short swing path with lower half rotation to finish. Exit velocity of 80 MPH. Groundball/line drive results; using the whole field. Defensively- Position comes naturally. Plays loose and delivers strong throws to he bases. Quick hands, active feet and  clean transfer with arm strength of 77 MPH. Athletic enough to handle additional defensive positions. Pitching- Starts on first base side of the rubber. Brings the knee up just past the belt. Throws from two different arm angles, over the top and sidearm. Natural movement to his arm side with fastball that sits 76-78 MPH. CB thrown from over the top with 12-6 action; change up shows a 10-12 MPH differential with some sink.
