Ardovini stands in at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 7.45 – 60. Offensively- Lefty sets up slightly open with his feet narrow inside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding his hands just above the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a knee raise into the body to stride forward while his hands move back into a good hitting position. Has quick hands into the hitting zone with a level barrel path throughout into a high two-handed finish. Utilizes good lower body rotation getting whole frame involved in the swing. Demonstrated line drive potential to all fields. Shows a clean, fluid swing with potential. Recorded an exit velocity of 87 MPH. Defensively- Good approach to the baseball. Could be quicker with the transition from the glove to the throwing hand prior to the throw. Shows an appropriate arm swing and would benefit from a more downhill throwing motion. Moves well left/right and was accurate on throws. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 80 MPH.
