Big Apple Preview (October 14, 2018)
Square shouldered, athletic build at 5-foot-10 157 pounds. The RHH MIF/RHP ran a 7.74 60. Offensively- Active pre-pitch with bat tip and leg kick; when stride foot is down on time there is an aggressive lower half effort; stayed through the middle of the field to the opposite field gap. Defensively- Closes in on the ball well whether in front or laterally; glove works out in front of the body with more of an attack mindset; short arm action with and over-the-top release. Throws held their carry and were on target. Pitching- On the mound the RHP works from center rubber; mid-chest leg drive with a lengthened arm action. Repeats delivery; Fastball and CB both tunnel from the same slot/release point. CB showed some downward, spike action with a 15+ MPH differential.
