A projectable lean 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Ran a 7.32 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- The right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Uses a slight leg kick for timing and balance before entering the hitting zone. Quick direct path to the hitting zone. Quickly out of the hitting zone. Has a slight lift at the point of contact. Showed hard consistent contact to the pull side. Top exit velocity was 88 MPH. Defensively- As a third baseman, gets in a low wide position when fielding the baseball. Gets himself in a good fielding position. Shows above average funnel actions and throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Moves well laterally. Top throwing velocity from the infield was 83 MPH. The 2020 graduate is a must follow.

Lean frame with some projection left at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. Offensively – Wide, athletic base with feet square to the pitcher. Sight knee bend on backside. Full leg kick to initiate forward move on the ball. Showed consistent lift to pull-side during BP. Hands stay relaxed and work quickly to the ball. Remains balanced thru contact with high, one-handed finish. Defensively – Balanced, controlled actions at SS. Maintains body control while moving laterally. Receives in wide, athletic base with soft glove hand. Fluid exchange getting into those. Manipulates arm slot as needed. Fluid, whippy arm action.

Gordon stands at 6-foot-0, 160-pounds with projected physical gains. Offensively- At the plate he shows a confident loose approach, slightly open stance, bat waggle with hands around ear level. On the pitch he uses a leg-lift with front stride, back load with bat getting upright in a power position. Path to the ball is short, barrel plane is mostly level through contact, full extension. Bat-speed is there and will only get better with some time, 88 mph off a tee. Defensively- active lower half but drags feet some, more fast twitch foot-speed training would cure that. Glove is soft and fields out in front with quick transfer to a 3/4 release, does show multi-arm slots. 79 mph arm across diamond showing strong arm strength, possible move to the corner down the road. Fun player to watch this spring.
6/25/18
6-foot-1, 170-pounds, solid frame and size. Clean actions, fields out in front of his body. Well balanced. Longer swing. Made consistent contact with barrel. Wide stance with hard contact, 89 mph exit.
2/11/18
Gordon stands 6-foot-1, 170 pounds with a tall, athletic frame. He ran a 7.76 60 yard dash slightly off a previous best of 7.50. Also ran a 4.38 home-to-1B. Offensively- Sets up shoulder width apart with a slight open stance. Uses a leg lift trigger with front stride and a back barrel load. Weight shifts transitions well during stride with a quick to the ball swing path. Exit velocity was 86 MPH. Consistent barrel contact using the middle of the field; will hit for average. Defensively- Impressed with the glove showing a fundamental approach, strong arm with carry at 76 MPH from shortstop. Soft hands with room to improve with quicker foot speed improvement. Ranges well in both directions and arm works from the left side with a 3B projection.
