A well put together 5-foot-10, 185 pound lefty bat with a 4.24 laser timed Home-to-First. Offensively- Starts with a wide stance and transfers his weight back in the load position which helps him generate 83 MPH ball exit velocity off the tee. Front side flies open and that cuts off his extension through the hitting zone. Plus hand eye coordination and a ton of upside due to his raw talent. Defensively- With a positional velocity of 82 MPH does a good job of utilizing his entire body to generate momentum towards his target. Footwork is efficient and consistent and shows his athleticism at his position. Could benefit from getting the baseball out of his glove faster allowing his arm to fall into a more natural 6-to12 throwing motion.
Preseason All-Long Island Event (February 20, 2015)
Rosselli stands in at 5-foot-9 170-pounds with athletic lean with strong lower half. Defensively- In the outfield he plays the ball to his glove side and attacks the ball aggressively. Quick and clean exchange and gets through the ball well. Arm velocity 81mph with a clean arm-action. Throws from an over the top arm-slot. Great carry on the ball. Offensively- At the plate he stands closed with his hands above his ears with a slight wrap of the body. Little to no stride at all but well balanced. Bat path is smooth and through the zone keeping his hands inside. Shoulders and hips stay closed with good extension through the ball. Exit velocity 82mph, and his home to first time was 4.46.
