Larroy stands in at 5-foot-9, 136-pounds with a slender frame. Ran a 8.50 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside his shoulders. Slight knee bend with an upright torso. His hands are held out away from his body in line with his back shoulder with little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger with his front foot is a quiet step in the same spot as set up with his hands moving back and down into a hitting position. Tendency to lock out the front arm as well causing hands to go around the ball. Decent lower body rotation getting body involved in swing; room for more aggression. Bat path is level throughout the hitting zone into a high two handed finish. Recorded an exit velocity of 67 MPH; pulls side line drives with opposite field flyballs. Defensively- Good approach and footwork to get in front of baseball. Fielding mechanics are fluid however takes a longer time to get rid of the baseball. A better transfer from glove to throwing hand with a more aggressive first step towards throwing target is needed. Moves well laterally but stops momentum with release. Improved lateral quickness and strength will help long term. Recorded a positional velocity of 66 MPH.
