The athlete's fastest 60-yard dash time in the given event year. Measured in seconds (s)
7.78
Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
78.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
11.8
Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot, 185lb frame with connected proportions. 7.78 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide attack as the hands were slotted deeper at the shoulder with some rhythm. Utilized a controlled toe-tap stride and quick trigger, initiating through a slightly uphill, whippy path into the hitting zone. Produced a 39%/39% line drive to fly ball split (via Trackman) keeping the ball off the ground and hardly hit to the pull-side gap (285 foot batted ball distance). A peak of T92 mph bat-exit velocity allowed for doubles power available in the approach, using the lower half in sequence while working into a stiff/adjustable front side. Handled pitches out over the plate able to do consistent damage.
Defensively: The primary third baseman demonstrated active, choppy feet, approaching the ball with downward actions in the chest and a soft glove hand funneling easily out in front. Got the ball into the throwing hand and released from a moderate arm circle, H ¾ slot (accurate, 78 mph arm). Clean operation and held lower posture with a glove tap while shuffling towards the target.
2/15/21
Physical: Well developed, 6-foot, 190-pound frame with legitimate confidence in his strength. 7.84 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Slightly open, balanced setup with minor coil around a bent backside. Utilized a short, controlled leg-lift stride in order to initiate the hands through a violent, slight uphill path into the hitting zone. Stayed rotational, but kept it on a straight line increasing bat to ball skills and consistency at the plate. Hit into a stiff front side yielding a peak bat-exit velocity of 91 mph per Trackman Baseball; loft to LCF was present in the approach (69% fly ball rate) while recording a noticeable 353 foot max batted ball distance. Has a chance to be a solid middle of the order bat down the line; possesses an interesting power ceiling to tap into as he keeps developing (17.5 G’s of rotational acceleration) according to Blast Motion.
Defensively: The primary third baseman played low to the ground with smooth hands at the fielding window, funneled into the belt loop with good timing allowing for fluidity in the transfer to the throwing ear. Long arm action with good extension on the front side, showing whip from a high-¾ slot (76 mph). Handled plays in any direction with ability to stick at the hot corner moving forward.
