Hit: RHH. Balanced stance with an even base, hands start at shoulder level and work back on load, uses a small stride to enter hitting zone Very quick barrel to and through the zone, flat path through the zone working uphill at finish, level finish with one hand.
Power: 81 MPH raw exit velocity. Hard contact to pull side gap.
Defense: Clean footwork approaching the ball, slightly upright, soft hands, fields the ball slightly off-center and in the middle of his body, shuffles to release.
Arm: Medium arm swing with a 3/4 slot. INF - 74 MPH.
Rising Stars (February 25, 2018)
Solid 5-foot-4 152 pound 3B who ran a 4.83 home-to-1B. Offensively- Even feet just outside the shoulders; straight back load of the hands with a quiet stride forward. Repeatable effort with lower half, balance leading into his swing path. Exhibited some whip through the zone. Exit velocity was 73 MPH. Line drive results using the middle of the field. Defensively- Upright setup, shuffles to glove side. Some breakdown in his his approach. Hands work out in front; loses momentum once ball is fielded. Up right with release; arm was 64 MPH across the diamond. 2B/3B mold for the long term.
