July 2018
Simple stance, went opposite field for a double his first time and then stole third with a fantastic jump. Went up the middle later on to drive in a run, stole second, good speed. Fielded multiple choppers at short with quick feet. Feet came in handy on grounder off pitcher’s glove, he charged, gloved and threw sidearm in time for an out. Strong arm. Second day update: 72-73 fastball on mound. Curveball about 10 mph slower. High leg kick and hip turn. Pounds the outside corner. Fastball at times showed natural cutting motion.
Preseason - West (February 19, 2018)
At the plate, relax setup feet are shoulder width apart, uses a leg kick and stride for timing, Barrel stays mostly on a level plane through contact, two handed full finish shoulder high, 75 mph exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, uses proper Fielding techniques, stays wide and gets his body through the ball, glove to hand transfer slightly slow, releases the ball across the Diamond from a high 3/4 slot, 72 mph arm strength, could benefit from additional arm strength , excited to see him this Summer.
