Athletic frame standing 5-foot-7, 135-pounds. Hits from a wide base with a slight crouch. Stance is square, hands load back in rhythm, and front foot lands closed. Swing path is uphill, short to the ball, and displayed ability to pull hands in and turn on a pitch when needed. Lower half finishes completely and posted an exit velocity of 73 mph. In the outfield glove presents out front, clean centered exchange, and a short arm circle. Throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a positional velocity of 73 mph. Ran a 7.63 60. Balanced athletic setup on the mound, delivery starts with a side step rocker, and high repeatable leg lift. Drives down the mound, lands on line, and works over a firm front side towards the plate. Short quick arm path from a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball flashed some arm side run at times and sat 73-75 mph touching 76 mph on occasion. Curveball has 11/5 shape and had average feel for it around the zone. The breaking ball sat at 62-64 mph.

A lean 5-foot-5, 125 pounds. Ran a 7.63 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- stands in the box with a slightly open stance. Quick to the hitting zone. Slight lift at the point of contact. Top exit velocity was 62 MPH. Defensively- displayed smooth infield actions. Sits back on the ball hit right at him. Moves well laterally. Top throwing velocity from a ¾ arm slot was 70 MPH. Pitching- uses a high knee left and a strong closed front side before working downhill. Finished with intent. Balanced throughout the delivery. FB peaked at 73 MPH, CB ranged from 62-64 MPH, CH 61-64 MPH, and a tight SL at 58-60 MPH. The 2023 graduate improved in his measurables. Will be a good follow going forward.
Rising Stars (February 11, 2018)
Sekinski stands at 5-foot-1, 108 pounds who shows good athleticism for his age. He ran an 8.14 60 yard dash time and a 4.98 home-to-1B. Offensively- Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and triggers his front leg upon the delivery to square off to the pitcher. Slight pre-bat movement but brings the hands back into a solid hitting position as he strides towards the pitcher. Hands are quick with a slight uppercut bat path and high two handed finish. Developing player produced a 58 MPH exit velocity but with expected improvement as he matures and gains strength. Line drive results to his pull side. Defensively- Feet shoulder width apart in a balanced outfield stance. Aggressively approaches the ball staying low and fielding the ball outside his lead leg. Good transition from the glove to throwing hand producing a 62 MPH throwing velocity. When able to bottle up his momentum and be more assertive with crow hop look for an instance jump in arm strength.
