Offensively: He starts with a wide base with he front heel lifted up off the ground. His leg kick and hand load begin his timing mechanism as he starts to deliver the barrel into the hitting zone. His barrel bath stays down through and inside of the ball.
Defensively: He uses active footwork before he positions himself to receive the ball off the ground. His glove plays in rhythm with the ball as he works his momentum in the direction of his target. His arm works short on the way back and follows through with a flick type of action.
