Comments
Sisto stands in at 5-foot-10, 180-pounds with a powerful athletic frame. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside his shoulders. Knees are bent slightly with an upright torso holding his hands in front of his back shoulder showing pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger is a toe raise to place his front foot down while his hands move back slightly into the hitting position. Good lower body rotation getting hips clear utilizing whole body frame in swing. Very quick hands to the hitting zone with good upward lift throughout into a high two handed finish. Covers the plate well and shows gap to gap power potential with a ton of line drive results. Recorded an exit velocity of 87 MPH, a 1 MPH improvement from June 2016. Defensively- Body is quiet when framing. Good footwork and transition from glove to throwing hand. Throws down hill with solid follow through towards target. Quick to get down when blocking showing good reflexes and quickness getting up to funnel and throw.
NY Games (June 27-29, 2016)
Sisto is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound C/OF. He ran a 7.90 60 with a 7.44 60 on record. Offensively- Athletic stance, hands wiggle pre pitch and are just above the shoulder. Nice bat cock and toe touch stride. Compact swing through contact; alternates between a 2-hand and 1-hand finish. More drive form back knee/leg can increase Sisto’s 86 MPH exit velocity (has shown a steady improvement here; up 4 MPH from Feb. 2015). Defensively- Receives ball smoothly behind the plate. Quick hands and feet when throwing to second. Above average transfer with respectable arm strength at 70 MPH. Blocks bell very well and keeps ball in front. Pop Times stayed in the 2.07 range. Does lose some ground during exchange of feet; forward ground gained will cut throw down and keep momentum in the right direction.
Eastern NY All-Star Games (September 13, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, with an athletic body build. Defensively – As a catcher, he throws with a clean loose action. He receives the ball with smooth, very quick transfer. He blocks the ball nicely and keeps everything in front of him. His pop times were consistently at 2.04 down to second base, and with added arm-strength likely a 2.0 or better. Offensively - At the plate his setup is relaxed and balanced, short leg kick stride, with a minimal back load. His hands are very compact and strong, swinging on an upward tilt plane with good extension, with a shoulder finish through the ball.
