Physical: Long, projectable 6-foot, 173lb frame with good levers. 7.35 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Slightly open, loose operation as the hands showed rhythm by the shoulder. Utilized a short lift and replace stride on-time with a whippy barrel tip, using lots of early movement pre-swing to launch through a flat path into the zone. Able to do damage up in the zone with natural lift in the box, posting a 33% fly ball rate (304 foot batted ball distance). Occasional doubles power found working up to a T86 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak (via Trackman). Top of the order type approach with good bat to ball skills.
Defensively: The middle infielder demonstrated an upright posture, moving adequately in either direction with choppy footwork. The glove hand presented out in front and funneled smoothly, releasing from a H ¾ slot to the target (lengthy, 81 mph arm).
Pitching: RHP - The righty started off the middle of the rubber with a high, swinging leg kick getting into the ground and over the front-side with rhythm, creating some down action out of a ¾ slot. The FB ranged from 81-83, T84 mph with strike throwing abilities to arm-side. Mixed a well-spun 67-69 mph CB with some depth to it, missing barrels and added a short adding 75-76 mph CH.
4/01/21
Physical: Lean 6-foot, 173 lb build.
Pitching: side step to a high leg kick and slight turn, gets into back side as strides out to a slightly closed landing while keeping the front shoulder closed till foot strike and accelerates against a strong front side; moderate arm swing through a natural 3/4 release. FB: Has some cross fire action flashing ride (20" IVB) and arm side run (14" horizontal) through the zone. CB: Sharp 11-5 shape flashing depth down. SL: 10-4 shape with up to 21" horizontal break. CH: Slows hand speed a bit with up to 19" arm side fade.
