Physical: Projectable, even proportioned 6-foot-2, 190lb frame with durability. 7.63 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, slightly hip-coiled stance as the hands began slotted at a 45 over the head. Utilized a leg kick to initiate some weight shift into impact, operating through a slightly uphill, whippy path into the zone. Stayed over the backside with good flow to the swing, hitting into a stiff, properly blocked-off front side. Recorded a 50% line drive rate (via Trackman) with ability to hit for some average down the road, adding good bat to ball skills and a T90 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. Found doubles power on occasion to the LCF gap, working up to a 303 foot batted ball distance with feel.
Defensively: The third baseman worked at a medium/higher posture with a hop in the “prep step.” Chopped the feet early in routes to gain reads and angles on the baseball, planting the foot and showing right-left rhythm to the ball at the fielding window. Bent at the waist and released at H ¾, accurate slot to the target (78 mph arm).
Physical: Long, well proportioned 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with lean strength present. 7.54 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, narrow stance with the torso turned and coiled over the backside drive leg. Utilized a leg kick stride in order to unleash short, violent turns through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Held direction well and stayed behind the baseball creating meaningful leverage at the front of the plate. Recorded an 88 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball during batting practice with noticeable juice towards the LCF gap, a 313 foot batted ball distance points towards consistent doubles power at the moment with room for more as he continues adding strength. Quality hitter with present feel for the barrel offensively, (30% LD rate / 40% fly ball rate) while possessing the ability to tap into a big power ceiling down the line (21 G’s of rotational acceleration).
Defensively: The primary third baseman arrived on time to the fielding window with moderately low posture in the setup, soft glove hand worked with confidence out in front with funnels into the belt loop, accurate high ¾ slot on the way through with a slight hitch on the takeaway (74 mph) relegating him to a second base position at the moment. Handled the play on the run with ability to throw on the move.
