6-foot-0 215 catcher with a strong lower half. He ran a 7.58 60, an exact math to his time a month ago. Offensively- Quieter toe-tap with less hang time and smoother take back of the hands. More involved lower half which led to more explosive contact; high two-handed finish with an improved exit velocity of 90 MPH. Defensively- Arm did not have the same life as a month ago (68 MPH); throws were on-line but mostly one-hopped. Feet stay quick during transfer, would like to see glove to hand with less of gap.

Solid 6-foot-0 215 pound catcher who ran a 7.58 60. Offensively- Slightly open setup with straight back load of the hands; leg kick is back to forward. Slight drift into contact with hands leading into lower half rotation. Back foot/hip rotation slightly ahead of the hands will allow for an easier swing path and more consistent results. Exit velocity was 81 MPH; flyball/line drive results. Defensively- Slightly angled setup; some separation between catch and transfer. Gains ground, showed some arm strength at 77 MPH with a pop time range of 2.12-2.20. With some fine tuning at the plate and behind it Evans can provide some value at the collegiate level.
