East-West Battle (July 2017)
FB 78-80 with good feel and spin to breaking ball at 64-66 MPH.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)

6-foot with a stocky build, combines an upper 70s fastball that shows late movement with a breaking ball that falls off the shelf to right-handed hitters, maintains motion when switching speeds. Calm demeanor, attacks batters early in the count and is not afraid to throw strikes.
Diamond Pro Workout (January 14, 2017)

Walsh stands at 6-foot-0 and 170 pounds. Registered a time of
4.6 seconds down the line from home to first base. Offensively- Begins with an upright stance and feet narrow. Hands begin around back shoulder. Uses a long and slow leg kick, bringing front leg back and up to waist height. Stride lands back to even and slightly wider than shoulders. Hands are short to ball but stay tight to body throughout swing, limiting extension. Barrel path to ball is uphill with some sweeping action. Exit velocity was recorded at 78 MPH off of the tee. Line drives with some lift; middle to pull side results. Defensively- Fields ball inside his body with hands out in front. Uses a crow hop to gain momentum towards his target. Smooth arm action that created throws of 73 MPH from the outfield. Pitching- Begins in the middle of the rubber with feet together and hands in front of chin. Large side step to the left and uses toe tap to get right foot onto rubber. Knee lift comes just above waist as back turns toward hitter at balance point. Stride is short and in a direct line towards home plate. Arm circle is clean and short on the back side. FInishes fully through pitch with late arm acceleration/hand speed. Showed a three pitch mix. Fastball was in the 78-81 MPH range. Threw a curveball at 63-64 MPH. Also featured a changeup with similar arm speed at 72-74 MPH. Projects well on the mound.
Spring 2016
Small, wiry build with quick hand speed from the mound for a freshman. Fastball was consistently 77-78 MPH early in the game, dipped to 75 before he left in the 3rd, and showed the ability to spin a 65 mph 12/6 shape breaking ball.
