Downstate Unsigned Senior (October 21, 2017)
Racey is a 6-foot, 165-pound right-hander with a solid frame. Pitching- Stretch setup with waist high knee kick and 3/4 arm slot to arm side drift on follow through. Recoils upon release of baseball. May gain velocity and movement if follow through were finished.  Fastball ranges from 76-80 MPH with arm-side run. Curveball ranges from 63-66 MPH with 12-6 break down in the zone. Change-up has downward movement at 72-73 MPH. Might be more effective with slightly less velocity. High ceiling with room for continued development.  With some polishing he could be a solid prospect with good upside.
Academic Games (June 3, 2017)
Athletic 6-foot, 165-pound right-hander. Pitching- Uses a high ¾ arm slot generates sink into right-handed hitters, consistent strike-thrower, fastball velocity of 75-80 MPH with arm-side run (up 3 MPH). More in the tank here as he continues to learn how to use his body.  Needs to create an effective breaking pitch (cutter or slider) that will match his arm slot, preferably with less of a differential (currently 65-66 MPH). Some promise here and with a few adjustments will be a viable arm at the right program.
November 6, 2016

Racey, a 2018 right-handed hitting infielder and RHP, stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 165 pounds, ran a 7.36 60. Offensively- Starts with an open balanced lower half with the lead knee collapsed with an inward turn with the hands held in front of the back shoulder and barrel of the bat perpendicular to the ground. Gets into the launch phase of the swing with a lift of the lead leg driving the knee to the back side while the hands are loaded straight back with a slight dip outside the back shoulder. Bat path could be a bit shorter, as the barrel of the bat gets a dragging action from the launch. Drove the ball mostly from the pull side line to the pull side gap, aggressively attacking the pitch middle in. Recorded an exit velocity of 72 MPH, which could improve with an ability to create more extension thru the ball.  Defensively-  Starts from an upright position with the hands in front of the body. Uses a two step prep to get the body moving before the pitch. Approaches the ball with quality body control, fielding the ball in front of the body in a strong athletic position. Transfers the ball chest height with the hands drifting away from the body slightly which causes some longer arm action. Recorded an arm velocity of 80 MPH. Pitching- Starts from the center of the rubber hands held in front of the chin, with a slight turn to the arm side with both the toes and shoulders. Gets to the gathered position with a subtle step to the first base line with the pivot remaining center rubber and the hips and shoulder creating an inward rotation while the lead knee gets elevated to a mid thigh height. Separates the hands in good sequence, creating a longer loose arm action, sticks the landing with the lead toe open and shoulders level with the lead arm staying tight to the left hip. The fastball, thrown from a mid ¾ arm slot, topped out at 77 MPH, sitting 75-76 but had difficulty commanding the pitch to both sides of the plate, staying underneath the ball and elevating the pitch. The curveball, topping out at 64 MPH, showed tight rotation at times, with 11-to-6 shape but again had a tendency to back up at times. The changeup showed quality depth as well as a good differential from the fastball at 68 MPH. With an adjustment of getting the lead toe closed more, the front hip should stay in longer which would help create more extension and help the command as well as add some MPH to the fastball.
