Showed hard consistent contact to the left side of the field. Top exit velocity was 93 MPH. Defensively- As a third baseman , shows an aggressive approach to the baseball. Stays under control. Fields the baseball slightly off center. Shows above average funnel actions and throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Top infield velocity was 78 MPH. Pitching- The RHP displayed a repeatable delivery. Has a loose arm action and throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Stays balanced throughout his delivery. Showed plus command of a FB that peaked at 82 MPH. FB ranged from 80-81 MPH. A projectable physical 6-foot-0, 190 pounds frame. Ran a 7.24 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stand in the box in a tall stance with a slight bend in the knees. Loose low hands, short load, with a backward toe-tap before attacking the hitting zone. Displayed a short compact swing with a flat barrel through the hitting zone and power potential with a 93 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Active feet, low base when fielding the ball. Displayed a quick transfer to a ¾ arm slot with some carry at 82 MPH. Arm projects well for the left side of the infield at the next level. Pitching- Loose live arm with repeatable mechanics. Uses a high leg kick, smooth into the balance point and hand separation from a ¾ arm slot. FB peaked at 79 MPH and a tight CB 62-65 MPH. Shows feel for a CH 65-67 MPH. The 2020 is a must follow going forward.

Impressive physical frame; steady defender with plenty arm from the left side. Tough at-bat; finds barrels consistently. Has racked up several extra base hits including a HR to left-center at Cortland during Saturday afternoon.
5-foot-11, 175-pounds with sound actions defensively from the corner. Quick release, mid 3/4 slot. Deliberate tempo, doesn't rush, 80 mph arm-strength. In the box, comfortable approach, shoulder width stance, fluid bat path. Lift and extension in swing. Smooth actions in the box. High finish. Power potential with an 87 mph exit velo.
Lean athletic build with good arm swing. Gets good drive down the mound with a mid 3/4 release point. Repeats mechanics well. Fastball shows late life. Curveball has tight cross plate action and change up has arm side sink. Projectiable athlete.
Diamond Pro Workout (January 14, 2017)
MacKenzie has a strong, athletic build and checks in at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds. Was timed from home to first base at 4.3 seconds. Offensively- Sets up with a narrow base, front foot very open. Hands are set up high, aligned with back ear, before lowering as they push back into his load. Stride is soft and gets his feet back to even. Hips fire through quickly, but front hip opens up a little too early. This causes his hands to extend away from his body and gets the barrel around the ball, creating mostly middle to pull side results. Bat extends through contact towards pitcher, created a 77 MPH exit velocity from the tee. Defensively- Behind the plate, MacKenzie is comfortable and relaxed deep in his crouch. Sticks the ball with strong hands. Transfer is clean and quick, with all momentum going directly towards 2B. Throws had above average carry for his age, registering pop times of 2.08-2.15 seconds.Shows proper technique on blocks and keeps ball in front. Arm strength was 66 MPH. Pitching- Feet start wide, covering both ends of the rubber, hands in front of chest. Side step with left foot, followed by right foot sliding and pivoting to the middle of the rubber. Front knee rises to just above the waist at his balance point. Arm stays in line behind body with full circle motion. Stride is long and lands directly towards home plate. Full extension out over front foot, helping to create fastball velocity of 75-78 MPH. Maintained arm speed on changeup, creating deception at 69-70 MPH.
