WNY Pro Holiday Clinic (December 19, 2015)

The lefty swinging first base/LHP stands 5’10 165 pounds.  At the plate he sets up with an open stance and hands in front of his face.  Upon load he brings his foot back to alignment and draws hands back slightly.  Bat path is short and level through the zone.  At first base he fields the ball in front and works to the center of his body.  He used an over the top arm action with a quick hand.  The lefty showed smooth arm action that could transfer to the mound as a solid LHP.

On the mound the lefty used a quiet delivery, high leg kick and then a drop of his foot prior to working downhill.  His arm slot was over the top.  He repeated his mechanics well and had a consistent finish in line with the plate.

Western New York Open (August 2015)

Stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, with an athletic body build.  He ran a 4.56 Home to 1^st from the left-hand side.  At first base looked good fielding through the ball and receiving throws from the position players, throws with an over the top arm slot.  His arm strength was at 64 MPH.  On the mound, he uses a simple side step, balanced delivery, arm action is fairly clean and loose, throws with an over the top arm slot.  He has a good drive from balanced position and finishes over his front side.  His fast ball was (60-64 MPH).  Curveball (53-54 MPH) had a 12 to 6 downward action and changeup (54-57 MPH) had a little late downward action.  At the plate his setup is open stance, medium stride, with a dropping of hands load.  His hands are very compact, swinging with a level plane, with a shoulder high finish with extension through the ball.  His exit velocity was 71 MPH.
