6/25/19

Has an athletic build at 6-foot-0 tall,175 pounds. Pitching- The RHP works with tempo. Starts with his hands high and breaks with early hand separation. FB has late life and peaked at 81 MPH. FB ranged from 79-81 MPH. CB is tight with late sharp break ranging from 67-71 MPH. Showed feel for a CH at 69-70 MPH. The 2020 graduate is a must follow.

May 2018

6-foot-0, 170- pound RHP Has a lot of room to grow in his tall lanky frame. 80-84 MPH with his fastball, and has good control to the outer half with it. Has above average feel to a sharp-breaking 11-5 Curve. Legs and arms time up well with each other, and transfer into an above average extension. Can transfer better into his landing leg. When he adds onto his frame, the velocity can be in the upper 80’s. Loose and has fun out on the mound. Definite follow.

Winter Open (February 11, 2018)

Livingston stands 5-foot-11, 170-pounds with a lean but strong appearance. The current sophomore ran a 7.49 60-yard dash on lasers, that time should slowly start to improve as he matures physically. At the plate he uses a shoulder width setup, back elbow high with looseness to his hands in the pre-pitch. He uses a back load, short front side stride, compact path to the ball, barrel works slightly uphill with a tighter finish. Would like to see barrel stay in the zone a little longer with more extension. 83 mph exit velocity showing signs of power projection in the future.  Defensively, active fluid lower half, soft quick hands, throws from a high 3/4 slot, infield arm-strength was 76 mph. Pitching, currently plenty to like from Livingston on the mound. Quick tempo using a long side-step, hands swing high around his head for rhythm, shoulders and hips show advanced separation, stays on the power-line releasing the ball from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball was mostly 80-81 mph with some angle, occasional arm-side run. Curveball sat in the mid-60's, mostly loose with 10/4 shape backing up. Once he gets his release point more out-in-front with the CB he will see more velocity, bit and depth. Overall, we left very impressed with the Long Island prospect. There's bat-speed, hand-speed, and some signs of athleticism. It's still early so most of his numbers will improve when we see him again this summer.
