7/22/20
Physical: Long and lean 6-foot-1, 145-pound frame with projectability in the build and will continue filling out as he matures. 7.89 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Open, slightly bent stance with weight shifted into the backside as the hands start loose and idle on the shoulder. Utilized a leg-hang stride coupled with a barrel tilt at the top of the load to initiate a whippy and flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Delivered the bat head to the front of the plate with consistency showing a strong top hand in the swing and feel for the middle of the field during batting practice. Was able to elevate the ball above the belt to the RCF gap with natural lift after contact. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 83 mph according to Trackman Baseball with ability for more while flashing natural fluidity at the plate.
Defensively: The primary backstop showed adequate receiving skills with a soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.27-2.34 out of a low crouch with short straight line footwork towards the target. Moved his lengthy frame well laterally arriving on time with the glove in the dirt deadening the ball over the plate while blocking. C - 68 mph
