Physical: 6-foot-3, 185 pounds; Long, lean build. 7.21 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Drops hands on the way back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 94 MPH via Trackman. Long, lean and athletic frame creates a strong lower half. Plus hand and bat speed play into this good looking lefty stroke. Bat remains on plane and produces hard hit line drives.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands work through the ball with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 81 MPH. Athletic defender showed fluid transfers and plus arm strength. Looks to cover ground well.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while stabbing downward; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 80 MPH, while sitting 78-79 MPH; life through the zone. CB: 65-67 MPH; lands for strikes. Fastball with above average spin showed late life and pounded the upper half of the zone. Curveball with a tight break, landed for strikes.
