May 2016
Currently ranked No. 141 in New York's 2016 class. Solid 6-foot, 185 pound frame. Fastball sits low to mid-80s but can run it up to 85 when needed. Not afraid to go up top with fastball for an out pitch; able to spot breaking ball. Against a strong lineup he set down the first 16 he faced - eight on ground balls, four on strikes; only one batter made solid contact through the first five innings; threw high percentage of first-pitch strikes first time through the order. Gets to the plate under 1.3. Beyond the measurables, pitches through distraction. Ball to the face in batting practice left him with a split lip that didn't bother him; neither did intermittent showers or a teammate's injury.

New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)
Stands 6-foot-0, 185-pounds with thick shoulders and signs of a next-level arm. He uses a simple side-step, upright delivery staying tall on his back side. Straight back towards 2nd-base arm action, throws from a mid-to-high ¾-slot, fastball varied from 80-84 with some late action, jumping on hitters. Curveball shows signs of above average spin at times, 11/5 shape. Ewing has been up to 85-86 this summer and as he continues to get stronger and throw more he might continue throwing harder. Follow guy.
