Team Pac (December 16, 2017)
Moroz stands at 5-foot-11, 147 pounds. Had a home to first time of 4.63 seconds. Offensively- Begins with feet a little wider than shoulders and knees slightly bent with a slightly closed stance. Hands begin at back shoulder with bat vertical. Uses a knee bend with small leg kick that lands even as hands load backwards slightly. Barrel is on a direct path with limited extension through contact. Swing plane is slightly upwards. Has some weight transfer forward, front knee opens early before hips become rotational during the swing. High, two handed finish at front shoulder; hard contact through the middle of field. His exit velocity was 73 MPH off of the tee. Defensively- Approaches the ball with short, choppy steps. Fields ball with feet wide and slight bend at the knees; hands in front of his body. Can get flat-footed with hands to deep. Consistent shuffle on throws and got rid of the ball in a timely fashion. Traditional 3/4 arm action on throws of 64 MPH across the infield. Pitching- Begins from stretch with feet at a narrow shoulder width in the middle of the rubber with legs straight, lead leg slightly closed off. Knee lift comes to waist height at balance point. Average stride length that lands down the center of the mound. Arm stays in line behind body with an abbreviated arm circle. Over the top arm slot that comes through close to ear. Full hand extension towards plate. Fastball showed some sink and was in the 61-63 MPH range with a peak of 63 MPH. Also threw a beginning changeup 57-58 MPH and curveball 56-58 MPH.
