Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
Physical: 5-foot-5, 165 pounds; Full, proportional build. 7.99 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; flat bat to start. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with a late one hand finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 82 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; static during pre-pitch while stays low while receiving. Hands are soft while standing up during transfer. Moderate arm circle from a low 3/4 arm slot. 2.47-2.61 pop times. C - 64 MPH.
3/27/21
Physical: 5-foot-5, 165LBS.
Offensively: LHP. Balanced, slightly open stance. Barrel resting on shoulder prior to load. Weight rocks onto the rear leg as the hands go back and slightly up. Uses a toe tap as the timing mechanism. Barrel path is slightly down, to flat through the hitting zone. Compact movements and quality bat speed for the age.
Defensively: Primary C. Stiff lower half while in the secondary stance. On receive right foot plants into the ground as he works towards the target. Releases from a low 3/4 arm slot. Compact, controlled movements translate to behind the dish.
Pitching: Starts squared to the plate with both heels on the rubber. Hands start at waist height and stay there during the rocker step and leg lift. The leg lift is to waist height and has a slight pause at the top of the lift. On the glove break the arm goes down and back. The arm works without restriction and maintains slight bend in the elbow as it goes through the circle.
