6/28/21
Physical: High-waisted, lengthy 6-foot-3, 180lb frame with projection found in the build. 7.40 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Slightly bent, even stance at shoulder-width as the hands operated with calm rhythm by the ear. Utilized a lift and replace stride out towards a wide position, launching through a flat path into the hitting zone. Able to keep the chest down over the pitch during the swing, promoting good direction and barrel awareness; produced a 50% fly ball rate / 30% line drive rate split with the hands working at the front of the plate for leverage. Mostly middle, pull-side approach during batting practice, notching a T89 mph bat-exit velocity and 314 foot batted ball distance (via Trackman). Scored well in all four Blast Motion categories with more power coming in the near future.
Defensively: The primary first baseman featured a narrow base on the approach and choppy feet, as a soft glove hand fielded out in front off the middle of his body. Average feel around the bag and a mostly upright posture at the fielding window, able to move laterally in either direction and release from an accurate, low ¾ slot (78 mph arm strength).
