Offensively: Tierney has fast twitch actions and profiles as a gap to gap contact type hitter at the college level. He showed off his bat speed (90 MPH) during the 2020 games with extra base hits. Aggressive runner on the bases. Defensively: Tierney’s athletic ability will allow him to play all three OF positions at the next level. Strong arm (86 MPH) with simple fielding actions.
An athletic build at 5-foot-10,155 pounds. Ran a 7.02 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively - The right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance, slightly open. Keeps his hands close to the body. Gets good use of lower half stays balanced throughout his swing. Top exit velocity 81 MPH. Defensively- Aggressive approach to the baseball. Fields the ball slightly off-center. Quick transition to a high ¾ quick arm release. Top throwing velocity 81 MPH. The 2021 graduate is a must follow.
