St. John Fisher (August 7, 2018)

Wiry and athletic frame standing 5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Pitching- Uses a quick pace to his delivery, high knee lift, drives down the powerline straight towards home, releases the ball from an over-the-top slot, fastball sits 79-81 MPH (83 the week before), CB has hard 12/6 shape at 67 mph, CH is 74-75, throws it a bit too hard at times.  Defensively- Direct path to the ball, fast quick funnel, high ¾ slot with carry at 79 MPH.  Offensively – Slightly open, narrow stance. Keeps hands tight to the body during load. Stays inside of the ball and showed line drive contact to his backside gap, exit velo of 82 MPH

Oswego (July 25, 2018)

Athletic 5-foot-9 150 pound MIF/RHP who ran a 4.25 home-to-1B from the right side. Offensively- Slightly open setup; creates separation with load; short explosive attack into the zone; flashes some juice to his pull side. Exit velocity peaked at 80 MPH. Defensively- Active defender with short, explosive steps; closes on the ball quickly and displayed lateral range in both directions. Arm works from the left side at 77 MPH with a quick release. Pitching- Uptempo delivery that stays under control; repeats delivery and is consistent with arm speed. High 3/4 slot that works downhill. Solid 3-pitch compliment with his FB sitting 81-83 MPH with some tilt. Sharp, 12-to-6 hammer CB where the bottom falls out at 69-71 MPH. Flashed some feel to a late arm side fading change up at 73-74 MPH. Solid dual threat at the right program.

Canisius (July 5, 2017)

Orr stands in at 5-foot-8, 150-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 4.75 home to first, just shy of his best recorded time of 4.42 set in January 2017. Offensively- Sets up square to the pitcher with his feet outside his shoulders. Shows a vertical body holding the bat just above the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick stride forward while his hands move back into a good hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation clearing his hips using his whole body in the process of the swing. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with an upward lift barrel action throughout into a high one-handed swing. Demonstrated good plate coverage hitting line drives up the middle and to the pull side. Recorded an exit velocity of 78 MPH, up 3 MPH from January 2017. Defensively- Good approach and footwork to the baseball. Smooth fielding mechanics with a quick funnel and transition into the throwing position. Has aggressive footwork towards target and moves well left/right and in on the run. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 73 MPH. Pitching- Sets up in the middle of the rubber with a simple side step and leg raise above the hip crease. Breaks down well with good separation and loose arm action into a high ¾ release. Repeats delivery consistently and utilizes whole body throughout the pitching process. Fastball range was 81-82 MPH and peaked at 82 MPH showing good arm side run. Change-up was 67-69 MPH with strong arm side sink and could spot for a strike. Curveball range was 69-70 MPH with good 12/6 action. Overall a strong collegiate prospect in the 2019 grad class.

WNY Travel Workout (January 16, 2017)

Orr stands at 5-foot-8, 140 pounds. Registered a time of 4.42 seconds from home to first base. Offensively- Starts with a wide base and slight knee bend. Hands are aligned close to back ear. Has a small stride as hands lower and load backwards. Some weight shift forward that turns into hips rotating. Hands stay inside ball with an uphill swing plane. Had an exit velocity of 75 MPH off of the tee. Defensively- Short, choppy steps on approach. Works through catch with knees bent. Catches ball in front of body and funnels hands back to midsection. Inconsistent footwork on throws. Had a positional velocity of 70 MPH across the diamond. Pitching- Sets up with feet close together towards first base side of rubber. Small side step to left as right foot steps to rubber. Leg lift comes just above waist at balance point. Stride foot swings toward catcher and lands in line with plate. Long, full arm circle on backside. Straight over the top arm slot with head pull towards 1B to allow arm through. Fastball sat in the 77-78 MPH range. Also threw curveball at 66-67 MPH and a changeup at 71-72 MPH.
