Physical: Projectable, athletic 5-foot-10, 180lb frame with some strength carried onto the mound.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber from the stretch-only, lifting the leg quickly to a balanced position and breaking the hands, using a moderate arm circle and H ¾ slot on the front side. Worked down the slope on time and fluid into footstrike, creating good repeatability in the delivery. The FB ranged from 78-80 mph with strike-throwing abilities (59% zone rate via Trackman, 1510rpms) and mixed a short, commanded 69-72 mph SL in any count to keep hitters off balanced. Then added an occasional 69-71 mph CH with good separation off the FB and similar arm-speed. Feel for two, sometimes three pitches and pounds the zone getting groundballs/weak contact.
3/28/21
Physical: Athletic 5-foot-10, 180 lb build with a strong lower half.
Pitching: Works out of the stretch; Builds momentum with a leg lift above the belt and coil before driving down the mound landing slightly closed for crossfire action; long, whippy arm action through a high 3/4 slot. FB: Heavy ball with arm side run and the ability to ride (21" induced vertical) through the top of the zone. CB: Sharp 11-5 shape flashing depth with up to 12.6" vertical drop and 8" of horizontal movement. CH: Good hand speed with arm side fade up to 15".
