Large 6-foot-7 205 pound frame for the RHH first baseman. D'Anniballe ran a 7.60 60. Offensively- Slighty open stance with a heel lift/short stride combo for timing; semi-flat back with minimal take back. Stays behind the ball with an aggressive lower half and short swing path to contact; short one-handed finish out of the zone. Increased extension may turn his line drives towards the gaps. Exit velocity peaked at 84 MPH but plays even better then that. Defensively- The 1B gets low to the ground with hands out in front; serviceable with his footwork; average release with a bit of a pushing action into his throw. Arm strength on throws across the diamond peaked at 69 MPH but more there as indicated by his efforts on the mound. Pitching- On the mound D'Annibale's setup is to his glove side with a mid-chest leg drive to his balance point; front arm pulls open before landing creating and early release with arm running away from the body at times (missing with FB to arm side). Fastball ranged between 76-78 MPH; slide featured some sharp tilt at 70-71 and is his out pitch. Flashed a change at 68-69 MPH. More in the tank for the big righty.
