A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average

A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)
Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: 6-foot-3, 175 pounds; Long, wiry build. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using an angled drop step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 83 MPH, while sitting 80-83 MPH; life through the zone. CB: 68-70 MPH; 10-4 shape. SL: 71-73 MPH; lateral action. Fastball produced consistently high spin rates.
6/30/21
Physical: Lengthy, athletic 6-foot-3, 175lb frame with projection and feel on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Started from the stretch only off the middle of the rubber; used a shallow leg lift, getting directional down the slope with some downward tilt and separation at footstrike, releasing from a H slot. The FB ranged from 82-84 mph at T2300rpms, jumping at the hitter with good extension out in front. Mixed a sharp, two-plane 69-71 mph SL that dodged barrels with feel for spin at a leveraged position. High-ceiling type arm down the road.
Pitching: Slight hesitation on drop step into a high leg lift, sits into the back leg and leads with the hip as drives down the mound and finishes over a stiff post leg; long, fluid arm action through a high 3/4 slot. FB: Commands in the zone working downhill. CB: 11-5 shape with some depth down through the zone. Cut: Slider action with sharp lateral break up to -9". CH: Good hand speed with arm side fade up to 17.6".
