6-foot 155, Sigafoos is a projectable right-hander with the athleticism to be a two-way player at the present level. His future is likely on the mound. Although present velocity would not indicate, Sigafoos has a tendency to rely heavily on a good breaking ball which may stunt present velocity development. He has solid area control with his fastball throwing from a high ¾ slot. He displayed solid feel for his breaking ball with consistent depth. He shows an intriguing athleticism on the mound with potential as a 3-pitch mix type guy. PBR Nevada will look forward to his maturation.
10/21/18 - Lean, 6-0, 145, Sigafoos has square shoulders on a youthful undefined frame. In the infield, he displays good actions with soft hands. Although rhythm and footwork lack first step quickness, he has plenty of arm strength to stay at shortstop. Overall abilities may lend to third base with size and strength increases. In the box, he stands tall and balanced, striding after a bit of a leg kick with limited separation. His lower half providing most of the load followed by a down to level path with varying one and two handed finishes. Sigafoos made consistent contact with a middle of the field approach. His arm strength transferred to the mound. He displayed a slow deliberate delivery, maintaining a short stride with a quick arm from a high ¾ slot. With a bit of effort at release he tended to leave his fastball on his arm side. He maintained impressive arm and hand speed on his curveball and changeup. His curve ball possessed depth and flashed bite while the changeup maintained armspeed deception.
