Uncommitted 6-foot-3 180.Hermansenhas a projectable body with plenty of room for weight and strength gains. He is a better underway runner and posted a 6.83 60-yard dash. He has a manageable length to his swing, recording an exit velo of 88 MPH. He had two very good rounds of batting practice, where he sprayed the ball over the field. He had a gap-to-gap approach, flashing power while making consistent loud contact. Defensively, his positional velocity was an event best 91 MPH. He had a very clean round during the skill evaluation with on-target throws and solid outfield mechanics. He stayed behind the ball and played through it often. Still developing physically, he has to work to stay in defensive rhythm but as his growth stabilizes, so will his game. Look for him to be a big time player.

2/10/19 -Lanky, 6-foot-3, 175, Hermansen has an athletic frame with plenty of room for weight and strength gains. The long levered Hermansen has reliable outfield actions with a feel for fielding rhythm and his transition to throw. His arm action is deep and long but provides true and accurate throws with solid carry. He employs step-behind throwing footwork, where as a step-over or shuffle may lend a better line for his body and throw. At the plate, he stands with slightly bent legs striding to a wider position, creating a strong launch position. He has a manageable length to his naturally lofted swing which projects power. He made consistent quality contact with a middle of the field approach. Weight and strength gains will provide greater stability and the realization of his obvious projectability. Hermansen can expect big things to come his way in the near future.
