Cape Cod: Hit .327/.372/.620 with nine homers and 17 doubles as a juco transfer for Oklahoma State this spring, then hit .242 in 66 at-bats for Chatham this summer. He’s a decent athlete with below-average speed up the line but better speed underway, and he has some strength in his righthanded swing, but it also has some length, and there’s a lot of swing-and-miss. He played some right field this summer but that is not a natural position for him, and he fits better as a first baseman who can fill in at third base at the next level. His power will have to carry him, and his hit and defense tools will need continued refinement.
