Cape Cod- After three seasons of standout production at La Salle, catcher Tatem Levins will take his talents to Pitt after the Explorers folded their program. He's hitting .272 with eight doubles in a solid campaign for the Mariners this summer. Levins really stands out for his patience at the plate (18 BB-19 K), which has landed him in the leadoff spot at times, uncommon for a catcher. With a very wide base and a short stride, Levins has good bat-to-ball instincts and barrel control from the left side, and he's a tough out with a knack for making line-drive contact and racking up doubles. He also appears to be a capable defender behind the plate.
