Hands go up and back during his load. Small stride, on time. Quick, athletic hands allow Ayala to spray line drives to all fields. Strong lower half. Defensively, took reps in the outfield and recorded a velo of 76 MPH. Uses short, choppy steps to field the ball aggressively yet under control. Stays athletic after fielding the baseball. Transfers the baseball near his chest. Fires accurate throws from a high 3/4 arm slot.
