Cape Cod: The everyday shortstop for the Scarlet Knights this past spring, JKG did not play much at the six-spot due to the presence of Vastine, but he did show his versatility by playing second base and some left field. His fringey arm strength may move him off shortstop down the road, but he handles everything he gets to on the dirt and shows some pop with an early in the count hitting approach at the plate. After a disappointing regular season (.190 batting average), the 6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitter earned MVP of the CCBL Playoffs, leading the Braves with a .444 (16-for-36) batting average which included three doubles, two home runs and 13 RBI. Similar to Eblin, JKG doesn’t possess a standout tool, but he can just flat-out play the game with invaluable leadership from the middle of the diamond.
