Metzger has a strong, athletic build at 6-foot-4 195-pounds. Slow methodical type delivery into a tall balance point. Sinks back knee to drive down the mound. Shows some funk from a low-3/4 slot with heavy armside run and sink on fastball that topped at 86 and sat mostly 83-84. Showcased a slider at 73-75 with slurvy action and a changeup with armside fade at 75-76. Shows some strength in lower body going down the mound, creates some extension upon release. Arm action is short and quick.
