9/26/15 -- The big, physical RHP did a very nice job in his outing as he showcased the ability to command his fastball better than he has in the past. His arm action was as aesthetically as it’s ever been; looking longer and looser than in the past. His velocity was 83-85 miles-per-hour. His curveball had a slight bump out of the hand at 65-66 MPH and his changeup was hard with fade at 78-81 MPH.

7/28/15 -- Deveney was on at All Out Scout Day; producing a heavy fastball that ranged between 84 and 88 miles-per-hour. His breaking ball showed a little less hump out of the hand at 68 MPH and his changeup is still progressing at 75-78.

6/13/15 -- Deveney has a large, physical 6-foot-4 frame and could get even bigger. On the mound, he struggled to find repeatability but has upside. He has a fastball that ranged anywhere from 79-84 miles-per-hour throughout the course of the game with good downhill angle. He pitches from a high ¾ slot and a short, elbow climb arm action. His off-speed pitches were behind his fastball on this day, lacking feel for either offering. His changeup showed potential at 73-74 MPH and his curveball was 66 MPH.
