The left handed hitter starts in an open stance with his weight shifted onto his backside and knees bent. Hand begin above shoulder height. Average leg kick. Hands move down and back during his load, with a slight bat wrap. Smooth weight transfer. Clears his hips through the zone. Took defensive reps in the outfield, recorded a positional velo of 71 MPH. Fields the ball in stride. Gathers himself with a glove tap before making on-line throws.

Broomell has an athletic build at 6-feet 190-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.49 and recorded an exit velocity of 93 MPH, one of the top exit velocities of the whole event. Offensively – LHH starts in a tall, neutral stance with hands above back shoulder and bat parallel to the ground. As pitch comes in, uses a leg kick and stride to start swing. Hands load down and back with some fluidity. Produces legitimate line drive pop with potential for gap to gap power as he continues to fill out. Creates extension with hands to get the barrel out, smooth, athletic finish with some lift. Defensively – took reps from the outfield. Throws topped at 76 MPH from a high-3/4 slot. Throws had some arm side run and were on target. One of the top uncommitted players in the 2020 class.

Broomell has an athletic stature at 6-feet 190-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.48 seconds. Recorded an exit velocity of 86 MPH. LHH At the plate, Broomell starts in a tall, opened stance with hands above back shoulder. Creates big prepitch rhythm with hands. As pitch comes in, uses a big leg kick and stride to start swing. Hands load down to mid-chest, and then up to back shoulder when front foot touches. Big prepitch movements but is able to control body and develop a feel for the barrel. 2020 prospect with a lot to like and a big, projectable frame to fill out. Defensively- throws from the outfield topped at 86 MPH, which was one of the highest recorded velocities of a 2020 from the event. Long arm action from a high-3/4 slot. Ball shows some carry and backspin out of hand.
