Caraballo has an athletic build at 6-foot-1 165-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.18-seconds and recorded an exit velocity that topped at 78 MPH. Offensively – starts in a narrow, neutral stance with hands below back shoulder and out in front. As pitch comes in, uses a small foot stride to start swing. Hands load downward so bat is rested on back shoulder before swing process starts. Short and compact to the ball. Simple approach and mechanics at the plate with with balance and lift to finish. Defensively – took reps from the outfield. Throws topped at 81 MPH from right field to homeplate. Short, quick arm action from a high-3/4 slot. Throws had some backspin and carry and were on target.
