Comments
7/16/15 – Bodrato is a fantastic athlete who has verbally committed to the University of Florida. He stands 6-foot-2 and has an athletic build with broad shoulders. Bodrato was excellent in every phase of the game at this event. He ran a 6.64 and followed it up with a 6.63 in the 60-yard dash. He moved well and threw 90-92 miles-per-hour on the bag to 3rd base from right field and he showed excellent bat speed, hitting balls in batting practice with outstanding back spin carry to all fields.
Bodrato was even more impressive on the mound. He sat largly 90-92 and only threw 3 or 4 pitches below the 90 mile-per-hour mark. He was smooth, easy and repeatable mechanically and showcased electric arm speed. He also showed a sharp tilted slider at 75-76 miles-per-hour. Bodrato struck out each of the first four hitters he faced on a total of 15 pitches; commanding glove side and down with minimal effort. He was excellent and improved his state and overall 2016 ranking, proving why he is the top two-way talent in the state.
4/2/16 - At 6-foot-2, Bodrato passes the eye test as an SEC player. He bumped 91 MPH three times in his outing against Ramapo, but did walk a few, 3 in the first inning. When it was all said and done, Bodrato finished with 4 IP, 3 H, 4 BB, 1 R, 7 K. The arm action is clearly there, he just has to get more consistent with his release point. At the plate Bodrato bats left and has a very balanced approach.
