Stands at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with long limbs. He brings the funk, employing a high leg kick, exaggerated shoulder tilt and long arm swing in the back that looks like a combination of Madison Bumgarner and MacKenzie Gore—strictly from a delivery standpoint. The stuff is pretty good too. His fastball was 91-93, touching 94, with arm-side life, and his slider had hard sweep at 79-83.
North Carolina recruit. Long, wiry-athletic frame at 6-foot-3 195-pounds. Fastball sat 87-88 touching 89 early on in the game. Settled at 85-86 in the later innings. Slider showed sharp, late and hard 1/7 bite at 78-81 with tight spin and fastball arm action out of hand. Tough to pick up. 3/4 slot, some funk to delivery that makes him deceptive. Dontrelle-Willis-esque hip load in balance point and throws slightly across body, like Madison Bumgarner. One of the top left handersin the state/country.
