Miller is a 6-foot-3, LHP committed to the Maryland. He has a long, athletic build that can carry additional size. Miller moves very athletically down the slope with a repeatable leg kick and hip lead. His arm action is smooth and long on the back end with a high elbow at foot strike, coming through with plus arm speed at a 3/4 arm slot. Sometimes lack of rhythm in his upper half causes inconsistent hand break which causes him to run fastballs off to his arm side, however, his stuff is undeniable and his projectability is high.
Miller's pitches with his fastball at 86-90 with plus arm side run when down in the zone. When he is on time and gets on top of the ball, his fastball will be heavy with sink in the bottom part of the zone. Miller, perhaps due to the level of competition, will primarily use a two-pitch mix. His slider is his best off-speed offering. His slider has two-plane sweeping action that, at times, is unhittable to a LHH. There is a high ceiling with this pitch as he continues to increase his comfort with the pitch. His CH has run and fade, and shows signs of being a solid offering as he learns to use it more often.
