He starts in a wide, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A toe tap triggers the swing that takes a quick, short path through the hitting zone. Lampert showed great hands with his swing and the ability to use the middle of the diamond. In the infield, Lampert used a long, high ¾ slot to record a max velocity of 71 MPH on his throws across the diamond. As he worked through the ground balls, he showed a clean exchange, soft hands, and consistent footwork. He creates a good line with his target and finishes through the play. In the 60-yard dash, Lampert recorded a time of 7.4.
