As he loads, he’s able to stack the weight over the back leg and get the hands into a strong position to hit. The swing is flat through the hitting zone, producing a max exit velocity of 92.4 MPH during the batting practice. He also ran a 7.37 second sixty.
Defensively, Novak showed a quick, short arm yielding a velocity of 80 MPH across the diamond. The footwork over at first base is deliberate and gets him into a good fielding position. The hands are soft as he transitions through the ground ball. He creates a good line with the target and works through the play.
