6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher, corner infielder and pitcher. Worked out behind the dish and at third base during the workout. He is developing nicely since the last time we saw him. Threw 75 mph down to second base from the catcher’s position. The pop time was 1.91.  The transfer is trending well and the athleticsm is above average. Threw 76 across the diamond from third base. He is athletic so fielding and throwing is easy for him. The approach to the ground ball needs prep steps. Ran a 4.54 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 87 mph. The setup is even in base. Uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The path is long to the ball, flat as well. Uses a 1-handed finish after contact. Swung the bat well in the game, had 2 hits and lined out as well.  Solid prospect, trending in the right direction.

Tee Exit Velocity- 87 mph

Catching Velocity/Pop Time- 75 mph/1.91

INF Velocity- 76 mph

Legit 2019 prospect, both as a catcher and on the mound. On the mound, pitched out of a short backside arm swing. The slot is ¾ and the ball comes out nicely. The delivery is slow and methodical, as he looks like he could be a reliever down the road. The fastball touched 80 mph with good downward sink. The slider has a chance to be a plus pitch, sitting at 71 mph. The changeup is a work in progress, touching 74 mph. Behind the dish, pop time of 2.0 with a short quick release and average feet. Threw 70 mph from behind the dish. The receiving is solid, still needs to continue to secure the catch and take his face to the ball. At the plate tee exit velocity of 82 mph. Hits out of a even footed setup and even hands. The path to the ball is a bit long as he needs better direction with his hands at the start of his swing. Hands are free and clean so he should be able to make the adjustment. Ran a 4.4 down the line on his dig. Big follow for me.
