Played through balls with rhythm from the outfield. Clean, easy exchanges to a long arm action and over-the-top slot. 79 out of the hand from the OF with average carry and accuracy. Tall stance from the 5-foot-9, 170 pound right handed hitter. Vertical with the bat head, lacking a load, and using a short stride. Better than average bat speed, showed some feel for the barrel. Uphill leverage, occasionally long, with a pull emphasis. Exit velocity topped at 80 mph.
On the bump, works from the stretch only, with a short, quick slide step. Body does not always get loaded. Fastball ranged 74-76. Slider and curveball. Slider sat 68-69, occasionally sweeping the zone, but flashing sharp 10/4 tilt occasionally. Slot went higher on the curveball, working to produce downer action at 65-67. Change up is the fourth pitch, sitting 67-69. Located the offspeed better than the fastball. Sets up with the shoulders closed, staying that way until late, using a quick rotational upper half.
