Logan Walters: 3B/RHP, (2020) Petal High School, MS. 6-foot-3, 193-pound projectable frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power in the box with a strong exit velocity of 97 mph. Began in an open stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride to start his swing. Had electric bat speed and a flat swing plane, he ended his swing with high finish. Was able to find some barrels during his rounds. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, recorded position velocities up to 70 mph; has athletic footwork, sure hands and a clean exchange. Used athletic movements laterally and fielded the ball out front. He performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.85. On the mound, showing quick arm speed used a high ¾ angle with a short arm action. He is a feel type pitcher who uses high effort. Has an athletic balance point with even shoulders. Lands square. Changeup (69-71 mph) was most efficient when pitched in sequence with his fastball. Clocked sitting at 80-84 mph and topped out at 84 mph; shows some action with slight movement. Throws a tight curveball (69-72) with in the zone control.
